frequently asked questions
-
We are a full service restaurant and as such, we are pleased to find the best available seat for your party to ensure that you get a seat on a first come first served basis.
-
While we offer limited reservations, most of the room is available for walk-ins. Reservations can be made here.
-
Yes — join us on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5–6pm and again from 11pm–midnight. During happy hour, enjoy half off food, wine by the glass, and draft beer.
-
Canon is an intimate space with just a handful of small tables, each designed for parties of up to four. While our ceilings are tall, the room itself is quite cozy — and we’ve found that serving larger groups makes it difficult to provide the level of service, food, and cocktails that we hold ourselves to. For guests seeking a larger gathering, we’re happy to recommend nearby venues that are better suited for big parties. If you’d like to celebrate with a larger group at canon, we can explore a private buyout of the space.
-
We’ve tried this in the past, but it doesn’t work well — even if seated separately, larger groups inevitably want to mingle, and our space just isn’t designed to handle that comfortably. More importantly, we want your whole party to enjoy their evening together. You’ll have a much better experience at a venue with the space and systems to serve larger groups all at once. At canon, keeping parties to four or fewer allows us to provide the attentive service and high-quality cocktails we’re known for.
-
Absolutely! Details for buy-outs can be found here.
-
Washington State law requires that every guest at Canon present a valid, current ID showing they are 21 or older — no exceptions. Expired IDs cannot be accepted, and appearance alone doesn’t count. Visitors from outside the U.S. will need to bring a passport, as international driver’s licenses are not considered valid ID by the Washington State Liquor Board. We know it can be inconvenient, but following these rules ensures we stay compliant and can continue to welcome guests responsibly.
-
Unfortunately our license will only allow entry to those 21 years of age and older.
-
In the state of Washington, we are able to sell you cocktails to-go provided you’ve ordered food and the cocktail is sealed. Throughout the year we may have a selection of cocktails to purchase in-house. It is illegal for restaurants to ship alcohol.
-
No. In the state of Washington it is illegal to sell hard alcohol to be consumed off the premise of a restaurant or bar.
-
Unfortunately our permits and licenses only allow for the sale of our bitters directly from the restaurant. Perhaps a friend in the area can purchase and ship one to you.
