How do I make a reservation?
We have a small number of tables reserved for your convenience each day. Reservation tickets can be purchased here.
Can I reserve a specific table, spot on the patio, or seat at the bar?
Due to Seattle’s infamously fickle weather and our small size, we cannot reserve the patio or any other specific spot but we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
Can I sit wherever I want?
We are a full service restaurant and like the vast majority of full-service restaurants we are pleased to find the best available seat for you and ensure that you get a seat on a first come first serve basis. This enables you to enjoy your drink knowing that you don’t have to keep an eye out for a seat. We’ll do that for you!
I see a spot where I could stand while waiting for a seat. Can I just squeeze in there while I wait?
Our small restaurant is only allowed to have 48 people within the building at any given time. We very often operate at this legal capacity, so even though you may see a space where you could stand, the law states that no one else is allowed in the building. This is very much for your safety. Also, please realize that an open space that you spot may be reserved, or may even be saved for the rest of a party that has only partially arrived. It is our goal to get you comfortably situated as soon as possible!
Why don’t you allow groups of more than four people?
We only have seven tables, four designed for two people and three designed for four. We are happy to suggest one of the many other venues in the neighborhood that are able to accommodate large parties, if desired. The reality of the situation is that despite our tall ceilings, canon is a tiny space, and we do not have the physical structure, or systems, that would allow us to serve larger parties in a manner that would ensure that everyone would get proper service as well as quality food and drink in a timely manner.
What if we come with twelve people but offer to break up into smaller groups?
This is great in theory, but it has never worked. We want you to enjoy your evening. You’ll be happier in a larger space where your group can sit together and the establishment has the infrastructure to provide your large group with the best service possible.
I didn’t bring my ID, but you can still serve me, right?
The law in the State of Washington states that to enter canon, one has to have a current and valid ID showing that you are 21 years of age. Expired ID is not valid ID. Grey hair is not ID. For those visiting from other countries, please know that you need to bring your passport as your driver’s license from another country is not considered valid ID.
Can my kids come in?
Unfortunately our license will only allow entry to those 21 years of age and older.
I want to have a party for all my friends at canon. Is this something that I can arrange?
Absolutely! Details for buy-outs can be found here.
Can I take my bottled cocktail to go?
In the state of Washington it is illegal to consume alcohol purchased from a restaurant or bar outside of the establishment.
I see that you have a larger menu for sale. Can I get that shipped outside of the US?
We are working on trying to get Amazon.com to ship internationally. We hope to have this up and running soon!
I would love to order your bitters online. How do I make this happen?
Unfortunately our permits and licenses only allow for the sale of our bitters directly from the bar. Perhaps get a friend that lives in the city to purchase a bottle for you and have them ship?
